Breaking it down further, standalone storage accounted for nearly 30 GWh of new capacity in 2025, while solar-paired storage added 20 GWh. Programs like virtual power plants in states such as Massachusetts, Texas, Arizona, and Illinois are driving this growth, helping manage peak demand and cut costs.
